Reindeer feeding, food and Sámi culture

Join an intimate Sámi herding experience with a maximum of 15 participants, ensuring a calm, personal and authentic encounter.

Meet the genuine Sámi reindeer herders from Kitti siida, who shares their personal stories and insights into traditional reindeer herding and Sámi culture, passed down through generations.

You will get up close to the reindeer, with the opportunity to feed them and take photos together with these iconic Arctic animals. The small group size allows for meaningful interaction and plenty of time for questions.

What is included:

  • Scenic transfers (45 min each way)
  • Knowledgeable English and Norwegian speaking guide
  • Feeding the herd at our camp
  • Hot beverages and hot meal (traditional Sámi stew or vegetable/lentil soup)
  • Cultural introduction about Sámi history and daily life
  • A chance to see the northern lights from our camp (13:30 tour)
  • Thermal suit if needed
