Snowmobile & Reindeer Experience
About the Trip
Experience the perfect balance of Arctic adventure and authentic Sámi culture in one unforgettable day. The Arctic Snowmobile & Reindeer Encounter is designed for travelers seeking both adrenaline and a genuine connection to Northern Norway.
Your day begins with a warm welcome from your local guide. You’ll be equipped with a thermal suit and all necessary safety gear, followed by a clear safety briefing and hands-on introduction to snowmobile operation — ensuring everyone feels confident before setting off.
Then, the adventure begins.
Follow your guide through snow-covered Arctic landscapes, surrounded by the raw beauty of Tromsø’s winter wilderness. Along the way, we pause to regroup, help prepare a traditional bonfire, and enjoy a hearty lunch with hot drinks — a perfect moment to warm up, relax, and take in the silence of the Arctic.
After the ride, you’ll visit an authentic Sámi reindeer camp owned by reindeer herder Nils Ole Oskal. Here, you’ll meet the reindeer herd, learn about Sámi traditions, and experience the joy of hand-feeding these gentle animals, guided by local experts who share stories passed down through generations.
Group & Capacity Information (Important)
We operate with 6 snowmobiles, accommodating 2 guests per snowmobile, allowing up to 12 guests riding simultaneously.
If your departure includes more than 12 participants, the group will be divided:
- One group begins with the snowmobile experience
